Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Water Treatment Specialist to join our team. As a Water Treatment Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of water treatment systems. Your expertise in water treatment processes and mechanical knowledge will be crucial in maintaining the quality of our water supply.

Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze water samples to assess quality and identify any potential issues
- Operate and maintain water treatment equipment, including distributed control systems
- Monitor and adjust chemical dosages to ensure proper water treatment
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues that may arise
- Conduct regular inspections of water treatment facilities to identify maintenance needs
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate records of water treatment activities

Skills:
- Strong data collection and analysis skills
- Proficiency in basic math calculations for chemical dosing and system adjustments
- Experience with distributed control systems for monitoring and controlling water treatment processes
- Ability to operate heavy equipment used in water treatment operations
- In-depth knowledge of water treatment processes, including filtration, disinfection, and sedimentation
- Plumbing skills for installation and repair of water treatment equipment
- Ability to build, assemble, and disassemble components as needed
- Analytical mindset to identify trends or abnormalities in water quality data
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and maintenance tasks
- Familiarity with wastewater treatment processes is a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

• Leadership: 1 year (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

• East Chicago, IN: Relocate before starting work (Required)
