Responsibilities:
1. Conduct pH/neutralization titrations with precision, consistently identifying subtle color changes.
2. Monitor and maintain key parameters of waste treatment processes on an hourly basis.
3. Operate and maintain common laboratory equipment, including pH meters, analytical balances, spectrophotometers, and thermometers.
4. Prepare laboratory reagents and solutions accurately according to established protocols.
5. Perform inspections of waste accumulation areas, ensuring proper labeling and compliance with regulatory requirements.
6. Demonstrate mechanical aptitude for tasks such as moving 55-gallon drums and lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally.
7. Maintain meticulous records of laboratory tests, observations, and data.
8. Collaborate with operators, managers, and engineers to address technical needs and support production goals.
9. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including working with chemical hazards and using personal protective equipment.
10. Modify work schedules as needed to provide coverage and accommodate occasional mandatory overtime.
11. Serve as a first responder in emergency situations and demonstrate willingness to undergo necessary training for emergency response.
12. Foster a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement in the workplace.

Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Physics, Biology, or related field, or equivalent experience in laboratory and waste treatment operations.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access, with strong computer skills for data analysis and documentation.
3. Familiarity with chemical terminology and understanding of chemical hazards associated with large-volume operations.
4. Excellent mathematical skills and ability to perform calculations accurately.
5. Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
6. Detail-oriented approach to work, with a focus on accuracy and precision in laboratory testing and record-keeping.
