Waste Water Treatment Technician ensures that pumps, conveyors, blowers, chlorinators, vacuum equipment and other waste water treatment equipment are functioning properly. Monitors equipment for potential failures and may make minor repairs or adjustments as needed. Being a Waste Water Treatment Technician collects water samples for chemical analysis. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Additionally, Waste Water Treatment Technician typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Waste Water Treatment Technician works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. FT Hourly Rate : $16.54 - $27.10
The Solid Waste Technician performs routine manual labor which does not require a high degree of skill; may also drive trucks and light tractors while in a training status and related work as apparent or assigned.
In most cases, the SWT will work under immediate direction of an employee of higher grade or a foreman.
