Waste Water Treatment Technician jobs in Mississippi
Waste Water Treatment Technician ensures that pumps, conveyors, blowers, chlorinators, vacuum equipment and other waste water treatment equipment are functioning properly. Monitors equipment for potential failures and may make minor repairs or adjustments as needed. Being a Waste Water Treatment Technician collects water samples for chemical analysis. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Additionally, Waste Water Treatment Technician typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Waste Water Treatment Technician works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. May require 0-1 year of general work experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

Responsibilities
Position Responsibilities :
- Understanding of PLC Logic and HMI's (Capable of troubleshooting control issues)
- Industrial Networks (ControlNet, DeviceNet, Profibus, Ethernet, Fiber optic)
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with process instrumentation (Flow, Temp, Pressure,etc)
- Comfortable working around Medium and High Voltage Switchgear
- Can read and understand schematics, single lines and P&ID’s.
- Ability to work without direct supervision (Self Motivated)
- Willingness to learn and train others
- Good communication skills with ability to log activities in a database
- Good computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, IBA, Wonderware, Ignition etc.
- Outstanding work record
- Must be willing to work unscheduled days when needed
Qualifications
Experience / Requirements :
- Highly Safety Oriented
- Positive attitude
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Day Shift work
- Strong teamwork focus
Preferred :
- 3 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience
- Experience with computers / servers
