Job Description: We are currently seeking an Mid-Sr Level Field Environmental / Wastewater Treatment Operator, with 3-10 years of experience, to provide support to our government contracts primarily in Pueblo, Colorado. The position is primarily a field-based position. The position requires strict adherence to standard operating procedures, programmatic planning documents, health and safety policies and practices, and quality control requirements.

Salary Range: $50,000 to $85,000 DOE

Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs remedial system O&M, troubleshooting, optimization, and monitoring/sampling activities including but not limited to:

• Operation and maintenance of water treatment equipment
• Operation and maintenance of water quality meters
• Operation of GPS and electronic data collection devices
• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner and controlled manner.
• Assures integrity, cleanliness, and security of system buildings/enclosure and equipment.
• Collection of groundwater samples using bladder pumps, peristaltic pumps, and/or bailers
• Accurate completion of field data sheets
• Ability to follow Sampling and Analysis Plans/ Quality Assurance Project Plans
• Writing sampling activity reports

Required Qualifications: To be considered for this position you must have:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Demonstrate excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• Good written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, attention to detail and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
• Mechanically inclined with experience operating and troubleshooting tools and equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment; flexible and quickly adaptable to changing priorities
• Ability to pass background check

Preferred Qualifications:

• 40 hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification
• First Aid CPR Training
• Experience with environmental sampling
• Colorado Wastewater Treatment Operator License

Physical Requirements:

• Must have the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and work in all weather conditions
• Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record and be able to drive in a company provided vehicle
