Waste Water Treatment Technician jobs in Salt Lake City, UT

A well established, reputable General Contractor is seeking a Water/Wastewater Construction Superintendent to join our team. This contractor is a leader in the industry experiencing continued growth.

Travel to the project site is required.

This Superintendent will be responsible for managing, assisting, and monitoring the overall construction work for all assigned Water/Wastewater projects. This includes updating project schedules, managing labor costs, and coordinating self-perform and subcontractor work.

Job Responsibilities

• In charge of ensuring that a safe workplace remains the top priority by partnering with the Safety department, Safety committee, and Project Management to support policies, procedures and practices to initiate a safe workplace.
• Oversee job progress by managing Subcontractors, solving problems and conflicts, using proper documentation, quality control and safety control techniques on the job.
• Manage project costs by weekly evaluation of labor, material, and equipment costs.
• Supervise field productivity, cost control, quality control and scheduling to ensure accurate and updated construction schedules and budgets are being met.
• Collaborate with field and project management personnel to address cost and schedule concerns.
• Take an active part in job start / job close meetings.
• Be in communication regularly with Project Management to troubleshoot job challenges and update job status.
• Advice and enforce company policies and procedures with field personnel and Subcontractors.
• Contribute Leadership through building cooperative relationships, acting systemically, being decisive and taking responsibility.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in water/wastewater construction. Projects include water/wastewater treatment plants, lift stations, pump stations etc.
• Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willing to travel to the project site.
