Waste Water Treatment Technician ensures that pumps, conveyors, blowers, chlorinators, vacuum equipment and other waste water treatment equipment are functioning properly. Monitors equipment for potential failures and may make minor repairs or adjustments as needed. Being a Waste Water Treatment Technician collects water samples for chemical analysis. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Additionally, Waste Water Treatment Technician typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Waste Water Treatment Technician works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Water-Pro has an opening for a Service Technician / Sales / Installer position. Responsibilities include: meeting with potential or existing residential or commercial customers to determine their specific water treatment needs, recommending the appropriate equipment, completing the installation, and providing customer support after the sale.
Previous experience in the water-treatment industry desired, but will train the right person. Further, this position will require the ability to install, diagnose, repair, or replace, as appropriate, water softeners & filters, reverse osmosis systems, well water pumps, pressure tanks, and related accessories. Ability to lift heavy items 60 lbs. on occasion, be a team player, have a neat, clean appearance, and excellent communication & customer service skills a must. You will be expected to be "on-call" on a rotating basis for night/weekend emergency service. All applicants will be subject to a criminal background check and be required to possess a Florida driver's license with a clean driving record.
