GIS SPECIALIST:

ROLE DESCRIPTON:
WET is seeking a full time remote or on-site role for a GIS Specialist. The GIS Specialist will be responsible for designing and implementing GIS databases, mapping software, and other geographic data systems. They will also work closely with other teams to identify business opportunities and provide customized GIS solutions, as well as troubleshoot and maintain existing GIS databases and systems.
Candidate must be self-motivated, energetic, and willing to work well with the existing technical team. This position will support civil engineering, environmental and water consulting projects in the Rocky Mountain region. Some travel may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Candidates must possess a degree in Geography, GIS or related field and demonstrated professional experience to meet job requirements.
Ideal candidate will have experience with ArcGIS Pro, databases, and data management.
- Experience with ESRI GIS software
- Experience with GIS data creation, management, analysis, and presentation techniques
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, and SQL a plus
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in cross-functional teams
- Understanding of environmental and water resources engineering is a plus
