Web Content Specialist jobs in Washington, DC

The Content Specialist will assist in the implementation and maintenance of content on the client’s web content management system. May be involved with integrating work of writers and designers to produce a final layout compatible with the client style guide.  The content specialist will directly interface with the client content owners to publish content, provide recommendations for improving content, and implement content strategies to improve the site. Additionally, the content specialist will coordinate and execute the publication of weekly market reports and their supporting email distributions.

 The content specialist will also perform business analyst duties such as metrics and ad hoc reporting on website performance, training client staff on the content management system, and documenting processes and procedures for the enterprise website.

Required Skills:

• Requires a bachelor's degree with 1-3 years of experience

• Experience with Drupal or other CMS

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Experience working directly with clients

• Strong attention to detail 

Desired Skills

• Experience working on a Federal government website

• Experience with GovDelivery

• Familiarity with HTML, CSS and web standards

• Familiarity with web-based testing tools

• Experience with 508 compliance testing and remediation
