    KEY RESPONSBILITIES

    The State University of New York at Fredonia is seeking qualified applicants for a Full-Time, temporary, 12-month, Lead Sharepoint and Web Developer position (SL3) in the Information and Technology Services Department. Flexible work or hybrid options considered. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the successful candidate will:

    In collaboration with the ITS leadership and university stakeholders, develops internal and external interactive portals by using Microsoft SharePoint Online. Main duties consist in designing user interfaces and configuring workflow by using or modifying standard forms, social networking features, team widgets, templates and other resources already available in Sharepoint. Samples applications include internal Intranet, team sites, public sites, document management, automated workflow, approval and electronic signature, collaboration, messaging, and content management for websites and mobile applications
    In collaboration with the Systems administration and Security team, implements SharePoint Online security including, but not limited to, account authentication, set up user security roles, user groups, audiences, and item level permission;
    Develops quick iterative prototypes as proof-of-concept to guide end-users in planning, developing and deploying departmental and enterprise level SharePoint Online solutions;
    Participates in SharePoint Online performance improvement including, but not limited to, logs analysis, capacity planning, integration and reporting;
    Modifies Wordpress themes to build small websites to meet unique functions.
    Reviews and analyzes user specifications, and coordinates with users for project tasks for SharePoint development and implementation including, but not limited to, meeting planning and coordination, documenting, tracking and evaluating;
    Responsible for document digitization and digital document conservation across the university. Works in collaboration with all stakeholders to digitize, properly identify and store documents for easy search and retrieval;
    Provides end-user support and training through a variety of means to include face to face, training documentation, training videos, training resource compilation, etc;
    Provides technical support and troubleshooting to end-users;
    Participates in process re-engineering for efficiency in university business operations;
    Evaluates current and emerging SharePoint technologies and practices; recommends solutions and best practices;
    Keeps current with Sharepoint Online and best practices. Attends conferences and regularly attends seminars, specifically focusing on Sharepoint platform and collaborative administrative systems, subject to budget availability;

    Job Requirements:
    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    Excellent customer service and communication skills are a must.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or a related field.
    At least 3 years of relevant experience developing Sharepoint and applications on ASP platform.
    Strong understanding and experience with Microsoft O365 platform and applications.
    Experience working in a collaborative application development environment.
    Ability to work with a diverse group of employees; individually and as part of a team.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    At least one year experience in Wordpress.
    Experience with Business Process Re-Engineering/Improvement.
    Project Management Experience.
    Understanding of current trends in Enterprise Application development.
    Familiar with web accessibility standards and testing tools.
    Professional experience in a higher education IT environment.

    Additional Information:
    This is a full-time, 12 Month, temporary position beginning as soon as possible . The salary range for this position is $65,000-$70,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
