Web Software Developer designs and develops software solutions for websites and mobile applications that engage users and meet business requirements. Supports web administrators and designers through the full development lifecycle and contributes to the development of new site features. Being a Web Software Developer develops, implements, and debugs software code. Designs and develops the web infrastructure including back-end database development and the construction of SQL queries via CGI scripting. Additionally, Web Software Developer requires knowledge of web technologies and tools such as CSS, JavaScript, HTML, PERL, PHP, Active Server Pages, SQL, and C++. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a project leader or manager. The Web Software Developer occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     Your Role

    • Part of a team that manages the Sangoma family of websites.
    • Manage the web content management systems in Wordpress and Drupal.
    • Design and develop dedicated responsive landing pages and websites utilizing HTML/CSS/js.
    • Estimate, document and execute projects on schedule.
    • Optimize the performance of web pages for speed and SEO.
    • Translate wireframes and mockups into HTML and CSS.
    • Monitor and report website performance issues and coordinate with the IT team to resolve problems
    • Assist in maintaining the web applications used in marketing.
    • Working in a team environment, collaborating and communicating with other team members to provide a world class web experience.

    Your Background:

    • 2 years experience as a web developer
    • Strong preference to the Wordpress CMS. Experience in Drupal and other CMS platforms will also be considered.
    • PHP7, MYSQL, HTML 5, CSS and Java Script knowledge highly preferred.
    • Experience with source code control through platforms such as Git and Stash.
    • Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite.
    • Ability to balance multiple projects concurrently.
    • Great communication skills.
    • Highly motivated, self-starter with ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment, while staying aligned with corporate goals.
    • Ability to take critique, criticism, and instruction well and apply suggestions appropriately.
