POSITION PURPOSE:

The Progress Software Developer plays a pivotal role in our organization by bridging the gap between our unique business needs and cutting-edge technological solutions. This position is instrumental in enhancing existing applications, creating innovative automated solutions, and improving our overall capacity to deliver exceptional products and services to our customers. As a key member of our team, the Progress Software Developer collaborates with experienced analysts, developers, and business resources to develop, modify, and maintain systems that align with our strategic objectives. This role is instrumental in achieving our mission and delivering unparalleled products and services to our valued customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Understand the unique business needs of the organization and translate those needs into systems design specifications that will be used to enhance existing applications and develop new automated solutions.
• Work closely with a team of experienced analysts, developers, and business resources to build and modify systems that will improve our ability to deliver products and services to our customers.
• Develop, debug, test, and document source code.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for new and existing custom applications.
• Ability to meet timelines, milestones, objectives and provide timely status updates.

• Maintain a positive attendance record by demonstrating consistent and punctual attendance on a regular basis.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• This role may require some travel (less than 5%).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Progress OpenEdge 12.x development tools
• ABL/4GL language
• OpenEdge Classic App Server and/or PASOE
• Knowledge of the .NET 4.7 Framework, including Visual Studio 2022, C#, WPF, SQL server
• SAP Crystal Reports

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or a closely related field (or a foreign degree equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience)
• At least one year Progress OpenEdge ABL/4GL or equivalent programming experience preferred
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

WAGE RANGE: $80,000-$102,000 per year

BENEFITS: Competitive benefit package offered for regular (non-temporary/seasonal) employees (and qualified dependents) working 30 hours per week includes medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, long-term disability, 401k, PTO accrual up to 15 days per year, six (6) paid holidays annually, and three (3) floating holidays.
