Part-time, Seasonal, Hourly, Non-exempt - Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays,and Sundays from April 15, 2023– October 31, 2023

Position Summary
As a wedding coordinator, you will work in partnership with the wedding ceremony specialist to coordinate and execute all outdoor wedding ceremonies and ceremony rehearsals, as well as reception set-up, currently booked by the
Catering Sales team. This position serves as the liaison for the client within Cantigny Park & Golf to ensure all details of planning and execution are completed as per the client’s wishes. This position must be available Thursdays through
Sundays from mid-April 2023 through October 2023 with some weekdays for client meetings before each wedding assigned to. Must be flexible based on client needs and schedule.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage wedding ceremonies at Cantigny Park & Golf with professionalism and hospitality rooted within all job duties and responsibilities, which include but are not limited to:
• Execute ceremony rehearsals and decor drop-offs a day or two prior to each wedding assigned to you.
• Serve as the primary day-of wedding point of contact for your assigned group.
• Set up wedding ceremony sites with décor, client requested items, and ensure the appropriate preparations of the ceremony site.
• Set up wedding reception site with decor, client requested items, and ensure the appropriate preparations of the reception site. This will normally include communicating with our operations team.
• Coordinate with the audio-visual team to ensure A/V components are delivered, set up, and executed as instructed by the client.
• Coordinate with third party vendors (such as: officiants, florists, decorators, musicians, DJs, etc.) to ensure these components are delivered, set up, and executed as instructed by the client.
• Coordinate with Cantigny Park & Golf departments (security, facilities/maintenance, setup, golf academy, etc.) to communicate any guest needs, guest arrival, and delivery of client items.
• Provide directional guidance to guests.
• Drive a golf cart or wedding tram as needed to transport wedding clients and guests as well as set-up items between and throughout the two properties.
• Deal with inclement weather conditions.
• Any additional responsibilities or projects as assigned by the Wedding Ceremony Specialist and Director of

Food & Beverage.

Wedding Ceremony Coordinator Position

Education/Qualifications/Abilities

• High school, college degree, required or preferred. Hospitality management, marketing, business, public relations.
• Some experience in a wedding, event, or coordination capacity preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to confidently communicate and provide directions to large groups of guests in a professional manner.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and work along side with staff members throughout the Food &

Beverage Department.

• Demonstrated ability to monitor event timelines and ensure day-of deadlines are met.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Exhibit a positive attitude, professional manner, and appearance in all situations.
• Demonstrated quality written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Position Physical Requirements
Must have the ability to:

• Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally, and 30 lbs. frequently.
• Be on your feet walking, standing, lifting – push, pull, grasp, bend and knee for 5 to 8 hours at a time.
• May be exposed to working in inclement weather or rain.
• Read and write (English).
• Communicate verbally with staff members and/or customers with or without the use of two-way radios.
• Give and/or follow verbal and written instructions.
• Visually inspect all work areas.
• Operate equipment for several hours at a time.

Working Conditions
Work hours to include days and evenings Thursdays through Sundays. Work indoors and outdoors in a banquet and garden environment. May be exposed, from time to time, to rain and inclement weather, potentially dangerous pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, equipment movement hazards, and misdirected golf balls. Injury may result as a result of exposure to the above if safety policies and practices are not properly followed at all times.

Kitchen appliances, equipment, utensils, etc.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
