Welder joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques. Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine appropriate welding process. Being a Welder inspects completed welds to determine structural soundness. Familiar with and complies with all safety requirements and protocols for working in a hazardous environment. Additionally, Welder may prepare the materials and set up for a welding device or robot. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Welder works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. - Must be able to Mig, Tig weld and operate a Robotic welder
- Must be able to accurately feed small sheet metal parts into spot welding machine
- Troubleshoot and repair welding equipment as needed
- Perform simple strength tests
- Ability to measure finished work to insure welds are placed properly
- Ensure welds meet quality and safety standards, inspecting work for defects or imperfections
- Welds parts equal to or exceeding production rates
- Keen attention to details
- Uses appropriate safety measures
- Uses safety equipment
- Must be able to follow and interpret prints
- Follows ISO procedures
Job Qualifications/Requirements:- 2-3 years of experience in all types of welding
- Must be able to lift 10 lbs. and sit or stand for a long period of time
- Attention to details and ability to follow instructions
- Safety-conscious and able to follow protocols and regulations
Job Details:- 1st or 2nd Shift:
- 1st Shift: Mon – Thu - 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM and Fri 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- 2nd Shift: Mon – Thu - 2:30 PM – 1:00 AM
