Welder joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques. Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine appropriate welding process. Being a Welder inspects completed welds to determine structural soundness. Familiar with and complies with all safety requirements and protocols for working in a hazardous environment. Additionally, Welder may prepare the materials and set up for a welding device or robot. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Welder works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.     Inc. is looking for a Welder / Fabricator who is mechanically inclined, safety conscious, and capable of performing a variety of construction and / or repair tasks on steel forms used in the manufacture of precast concrete products.

    The duties of our Welder / Fabricator may include Stick and MIG welding, cutting, grinding and general construction related tasks at a various work stations located throughout our manufacturing plant.

    Our Welder / Fabricator also performs routine housekeeping tasks, such as sweeping, cleaning, etc. Join our growing team and help us celebrate 75 years in business!

    Qualifications :

    • Must be at least 18 years of age.
    • Stick and MIG welding experience desired.
    • Ability to operate basic hand tools and power tools, such as grinders and saws.
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and weekends.
    • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
    • Ability to withstand exposure to extreme temperatures; visual acuity at short and long distances as well as good peripheral vision and depth perception;

    lift and carry weights of up to 50 lbs., access equipment at various levels (silos, aggregate hoppers, etc.); push, pull, stand and bend over for extended periods of time.
