We are looking for a responsible Quality Inspector to check the quality of all incoming and outgoing material and products as well as production procedures. You will be a firm advocate of quality in our business. The ideal candidate will possess a trained eye for detail and will be reliable and committed. In depth knowledge and comprehension of quality standards and inspection tools is essential. The goal is to ensure that our products are made of flawless materials with well-functioning equipment.

This is an in-person position Monday-Friday from 7am-330pm at our facility in Cedar Grove, New Jersey.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections using inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, protractors, optical comparators, CMMs, laser engravers, and other devices
• Prepare First Article Inspection Report in accordance with AS9102
• Accurately record and maintain comprehensive documentation of inspection results for traceability and compliance
• Monitor and ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations and standards governing the quality of products
• Maintain measuring tools and equipment, perform calibrations using Gage-Trak software
• Removing products that don’t meet production standards
• Adhere to safety protocols to create and sustain a secure working environment for oneself and colleagues

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quality Inspector or in a relevant role (Manufacturing Industry a plus)
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Experience with inspection tools mentioned above is a must
• Knowledge of GDT (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach
• Familiarity with production processes such as assembly, machining, etc
• Certification of quality control is a strong advantage (ISO 9001 and AS 9100 standards)
• Computer literacy and working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc)
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to communicate both written and verbally with management and operators as required
• High School Degree; Further qualifications will be a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 per year
