Women's Athletics Director directs all facets of a university/college's women's athletic program, including intramural and intercollegiate sports. Manages the entire women's coaching staff. Being a Women's Athletics Director schedules use of facilities, transportation, and sporting events. Also responsible for fundraising, publicity, ticket pricing and distribution, and purchase of new equipment. Additionally, Women's Athletics Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Women's Athletics Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Responsible to the Vice President of Patient Care Services/CNO for planning, organizing, directing and evaluating all nursing service functions and activities for assigned patient care programs/units, to ensure delivery of optimal quality of care and organizational effectiveness. Responsible for overall patient care services for Women’s and Children’s service lines and associated inpatient/community initiatives. Responsible for strategic growth of service lines.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

The Executive Director of Women’s & Children Health Pavilion is recognized as a key management and leadership position within the hospital organization. This position assumes responsibility in translating the objectives, policies and procedures of the hospital to the Patient Care Services division and implementing effective actions. Responsibility is centralized into five major areas: service line growth, patient care management, personnel management, education and unit management. Has delegated authority in these areas for the respective patient care units: NICU/Transport, PEDS, NICU, GYN, MBU, L&D, and any other Women’s & Health units added with facility growth.
