    The role you’ll contribute:


    • Responsible for development, maintenance, evaluation and expansion of the Women’s and Children’s service line for Florida Hospital Ocala including all aspects and segments of care.
    • Responsible for developing and implementing plans to address gaps in performance and to address opportunities for growth and development.
    • Responsible for the results of the Women’s and Children’s service line including employee engagement, patient experience, clinical delivery and turnaround times, physician satisfaction and engagement, market and financial results (including clinical registry results).
    • Through collaboration with medical staff and clinicians ensures an integrated, innovative approach to develop an integrated, evidence-based process of care; coordinating resources to ensure effective management of patients between and among inpatient, outpatient, emergency and diagnostic settings.
    • Ensures integration of nursing care programs, including outcome standards or key performance indicators and overall goals and objectives, with a particular focus on patient experience and team engagement.


    • Responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating the specific programs or centers to meet volume, profitability, quality, and service standards to ultimately drive value across the Women’s and Children’s continuum of care. Leads interdepartmental and campus-wide initiatives to achieve improvements in clinical care processes, team engagement, patient experience, volume and financial performance. Provides leadership to the development and management of programs and needs on all hospital campuses, as needed.
    • Provides volume forecast projections and impact on capital planning to Administration.
    • Collaborates with Marketing in the development of the annual Marketing Plan for the service line including any community outreach activities. Participates in clinical conferences, shadows the clinical team, and attends national meetings to maintain and develop both clinical and programmatic advances in the field.
    • In conjunction with senior leadership, evaluates and selects leaders that can collaborative with other physicians to achieve clinical results. Responsible for development and execution of all physician related contracts, in accordance with senior leadership and corporate compliance.
    • Performs duties in a timely manner and provides updates if delays occur.
    • Communicates with courtesy when interacting with internal or external customers - in person or on the telephone.
    • Demonstrates respect for co-workers and develops positive working relationships with other departments.
    • Participates and validates that rounding for outcomes occur daily in all assigned departments.
    • Promotes and validates ICARE compliance.

Demonstrates knowledge and improvement in patient flow with strong track record in demonstrating improvement in HCAHPS, quality, and safety for the service lines. Demonstrates knowledge of strategic and financial planning and management. Demonstrates knowledge of standards related to the clinical practice. Delegation skills necessary. Ability to multi-task is essential. Ability to function in stressful situations. Strong detail orientation required. Computer skills required. Adept as a change agent. Commitment to the advancement of Nursing practice and the nursing profession. Commitment to staff education and development. Demonstrated knowledge of and practices within parameters outlined in the Florida State Professional Nurse Practice Act.


    The Executive Director of Women’s & Children Health Pavilion is recognized as a key management and leadership position within the hospital organization. This position assumes responsibility in translating the objectives, policies and procedures of the hospital to the Patient Care Services division and implementing effective actions. Responsibility is centralized into five major areas: service line growth, patient care management, personnel management, education and unit management. Has delegated authority in these areas for the respective patient care units: NICU/Transport, PEDS, NICU, GYN, MBU, L&D, and any other Women’s & Health units added with facility growth.


    Qualifications

    The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:


    • Nursing degree with a Master’s degree in either nursing or heath care related field.
    • 3 years in a Director position with oversight of multiple units in an acute care hospital setting.
    • Previous in-patient unit management.
    • Experience growing Women’s and Children’s service lines.


    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

    • MSN, MBA, MHA, or related area


    LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED
    :

    • Current BLS certification.
    • Current registration with Florida State Board of Nursing as a registered professional nurse or licensure from another state with verification of application and eligibility for Florida licensure by endorsement
