Summary: As a Wood Crate Fabricator, you are to fabricate crates that support the delivery of aerospace components using construction skills while following procedures and guidelines.

Essential Job Function/Requirements:

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

• Interprets design and company standards and performs necessary calculations using shop math to complete crates.
• Performs checks of fabricated items
• Selects and applies proper glues, adhesives, nails, and hardware.
• Installs completed assembly or components using brackets, metal reinforcements, and angels.
• Completes tasks within assigned time limits.
• Determine work to be accomplished to be complete assignments within established schedules and plans accordingly.
• Accurately launches and closes operation for proper data collection for time tracking and traceability.
• May lead and train other personnel on specifics job assignments as directed by supervisor.
• Work in a safe manner in accordance with OSHA and company safety procedures.
• Set up and operates standard shop equipment.
• May be required to do other tasks in the shop.

Skills & Knowledge:

High School Diploma

• Experience in carpentry work or related fabrication experience.
• Able to set up and operate all standard equipment or tools.

· Good working knowledge of math and measurements.

• Ability to handle fast paced workflow and work within deadlines.
• Self-starter and excellent organizational skills.

Experience:

· Minimum two years in carpentry work or related fabrication experience.

Physical Requirements:

The associate is occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay: $20.46 - $21.00 per hour
