Workers Compensation Administrator II administers the workers' compensation program for an organization. Implements a consistent process for recording, investigating, and reporting workers' compensation claims complying with laws and regulations. Being a Workers Compensation Administrator II prepares and submits required reporting and documentation to OSHA, state and local agencies, and other entities. Monitors all claims and liaises with the employees, managers, insurance representatives, union representatives, medical staff, and attorneys involved with a case. Additionally, Workers Compensation Administrator II communicates case status details and necessary information to involved parties, including notifications of hearings, outcomes, return to work, or restrictions. Performs periodic reviews of overall cases to identify trends. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all regulations and laws for reporting workers' compensation. May coordinate or assist with safety programs focused on injury prevention or facilitate accommodations for workers. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Workers Compensation Administrator II occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.   • POSITION OVERVIEW 

    The Workers’ Compensation Claims Administrator is responsible for ensuring that all claims are processed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with relevant laws and company policies. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory requirements.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

    · Collaborate with other departments within the Company to investigate claims

    ·  Manages all records related to work-related injuries required by local, state, and federal laws

    ·  Collaborate with third party insurance adjusters to provide information as necessary

    ·  Assist in administration of the modified (light) duty program

    · Perform a variety of administrative tasks pertaining to the risk management program

    · Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Two (2) years experience recent full time position related experience in workers’ compensation claims, insurance, risk management or related area
    • Ability to properly interpret and make sound decisions in accordance with loss prevention, claims, regulations, and policies
    • Advanced knowledge and ability in active listening, deductive/inductive reasoning, critical thinking, negotiating, diplomacy and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and deliver exceptional service in the luxury resort environment
    • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint and Microsoft Project      
    • Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include holidays, nights, and weekends
    • Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES    

    This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

    Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    While performing the duties of this job, the Member is regularly required to stand and use hands and fingers to handle or utilize objects, tools, or controls.     The Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
