The role you’ll contribute:
This key leader role is to provide region-wide support and leadership focused on establishing and managing controls to ensure efficient workforce productivity. The primary objective of the Workforce Management Director will be to govern and drive progresses of workforce productivity and its optimization at several hospital campuses and outpatient service locations across AdventHealth Central Florida Division – South (CFD-S). This objective will be met through the following levers:
- Implementation of a position request review process in which departments will be required to submit formal requests for approval to post job applications.
- Creation of workforce productivity toolkits that departments can leverage to optimize staff utilization and implement best practices.
- Conduct trainings to educate operational and department leaders on the use of the toolkits. The Director will be part of a team responsible to develop the levers outlined above and is expected to assume and oversee the day-to-day operations and long-term strategic vision of the function. In this role, the Director will need to have an entrepreneurial mindset. In addition, the Director will need to partner with various CFD-S stakeholder groups including department leaders, campus leaders, and regional executives to effectively collaborate on workforce productivity measurement, position request reviews, and other initiatives. Reporting to this position will be a data analyst who will support in the day-to-day creation of analyses and other deliverables.
The Director will report to the CFD-S Acute Care Services Chief Financial Officer and support the CFD Integrated Health Services Chief Financial Officer.

- Sets strategic goals and clear direction for Workforce Management across CFD-S including short and long-term goals, establishing progress milestones, identifying risks, roles and responsibilities, and determining key stakeholders.
- Manages and collaborates with executive leaders from across the organization to influence and gain support for Workforce Management goals.
- Oversees position request and approval process.
- Manages workforce management reporting, tools and templates related to workforce productivity across a variety of departments (both clinical and non-clinical).
- Initiates and facilitates campus stakeholder training and education related to workforce productivity tools.
- Utilizes comparative data to identify productivity improvement opportunities and recommends solutions to appropriate stakeholders.
- Participates in campus and region-wide workforce budgeting process
- Skilled in developing a strategic vision and translating into actionable plans upon which a team can execute.
•Experienced with effective people and change management in complex and large organizations. •Proven analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Skilled at creating and delivering compelling presentations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Project, and Outlook.
- Proven performance in a complex matrixed environment either as a consultant or a cross-functional lead.
Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- 8 years of relevant experience
- Healthcare industry experience
- Experience in workforce / labor productivity
- Experience in consulting or advisory roles
- Experience in senior or executive level roles
- Experience working in roles requiring extensive cross-functional collaboration with multiple areas of hospital operations
- Experience in detailed financial modeling and analysis
- Experience leading operational changes in complex environments
