Wound Care Services Director jobs in South Carolina
Wound Care Services Director directs the programs and staff of the wound care services department. Develops and implements wound care services in accordance with the policies of the hospital and the directives of the medical staff. Being a Wound Care Services Director monitors patient progress and treatment plans. Responsible for the education of clinical staff. Additionally, Wound Care Services Director requires a MD degree. Typically reports to top management. Requires license to practice medicine. The Wound Care Services Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Wound Care Services Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Asure Wound Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Wound Care Clinical Specialist to join our team. This is a remote position based in the Columbia area and requires experience working in nursing homes or long-term care facilities as well as a strong background in wound care. The ideal candidate must be comfortable driving distances up to 2 hours away.
Starting salary for this position is $75,000/yr
Shift: Monday - Friday
Wound Care Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical expertise and support to nursing homes and long-term care facilities in the management of wounds and wound-related conditions
- Develop and implement wound care plans for residents in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Educate and train nursing home staff on proper wound care techniques, products and equipment usage
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper wound care is provided in a timely manner
- Monitor and document the progress of wounds and adjust wound care plans as needed
- Maintain current knowledge of best practices in wound care and stay abreast of new developments in the field
Wound Care Requirements:
- Active nursing license
- At least 3 years of nursing experience in nursing homes or long-term care facilities
- Wound care certification preferred
- Strong understanding of wound care principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office
- Must be comfortable driving distances up to 2 hours away
