This position reports to the Planning & Zoning Director and is located in Watford City, ND. The schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00-4:30 pm. Level and salary commensurate with experience; starting at $21.33 per hour

• Performs receptionist duties, answers phone and directs calls, takes messages, relays information, answers business related questions, greets visitors and directs them to appropriate staff members
• Ensure and set up agenda packets for P&Z Board meetings, attend monthly meetings, transcribe meeting minutes, process payment vouchers
• Assist with the scanning of permits into Specialty Permit program as needed
• Maintain annual file retention and reports
• Other duties as assigned for business needs

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be able to report to Watford City, ND daily at required schedule time
• Extensive knowledge of computers, computer programs, scanning equipment and various other office machines
• Ability to multitask and have excellent organization skills and customer service
• Must possess the ability to work in a standard office setting and to use the standard office equipment, including computer, copier, files, telephone and fax, maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the phone
