The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, Supervisor ensures compliance to all FAA maintenance regulations and requirements. Supervises servicing, repairing, and overall maintenance of aircraft and aircraft engines to verify aircrafts are safe for flight. Being an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree and a FAA aircraft and engine mechanic license. Schedules repair and maintenance, and investigates costs of outsourcing repairs. In addition, Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, Supervisor typically reports to Aircraft Maintenance Manager. The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes.
