The Aviation Operations Senior Manager develops plans and schedules skill development and training sessions for pilots, crews, and operators. Manages overall aviation operations focused on operational efficiency and compliance with regulatory and organizational operating policies, procedures, and standards. Being an Aviation Operations Senior Manager oversees flight scheduling, aircraft maintenance, and inspection operations. Ensures all operations follow and comply with current FAA regulations, airworthiness, and safety standards. In addition, Aviation Operations Senior Manager applies risk management best practices for safety to assess and manage operations May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to senior management. The Aviation Operations Senior Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Working as an Aviation Operations Senior Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.
