Job Description

The Computer-Aided Engineering Supervisor facilitates collaboration with engineering teams to provide CAE design, analysis, and modeling support. Supervises a CAE team that supports design engineering and development of products, components, or structures. Being a Computer-Aided Engineering Supervisor troubleshoots and problem solves to provide solutions and resources for engineering teams. Trains team on CAE tools and techniques that enable benchmarking, concept design, prototype development, simulation, and testing protocols. In addition, Computer-Aided Engineering Supervisor contributes ideas for improved CAE guidelines and procedures to achieve engineering efficiencies. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline. Typically reports to a manager. The Computer-Aided Engineering Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Working as a Computer-Aided Engineering Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.
