Being a Construction and Building Project Manager prepares project status reports and works to ensure plans adhere to contract specifications. Communicates directly with contractors/designers concerning project cost, staffing, and scheduling. In addition, Construction and Building Project Manager requires a bachelor's degree of engineering. Typically reports to a manager. The Construction and Building Project Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Working as a Construction and Building Project Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.
