Job Description

The Contingency Planning Administrator conducts risk management analysis and creates business continuity, contingency, and disaster recovery plans. Develops, implements and maintains policies, procedures, and programs for ensuring the security and integrity of company data, databases, information systems, and technology. Being a Contingency Planning Administrator develops the organization's resumption plan including identifying and securing necessary off site resources and ensuring action plans are in place and communicated to IT and operations teams. Develops and executes the testing processes utilized to validate the disaster recovery plans and to identify weaknesses and failure points in the plans. In addition, Contingency Planning Administrator requires a bachelor's degree of computer science or related. Typically reports to a manager. Being a Contingency Planning Administrator contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.
