The Corrosion Control Technician III follow SOP to conduct surveys, collect data and measurements, and prepare documentation and sketches of sites. Tests, monitors, installs and maintains cathodic protection systems used to control corrosion on pipelines, tanks, and other structures. Being a Corrosion Control Technician III inspects, repairs, tests, and troubleshoots systems and equipment in the field. Reads and interprets maps, GPS data, drawings, and specifications used to install cathodic protection systems and equipment. In addition, Corrosion Control Technician III follows all required safety and compliance procedures. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to supervisor. Being a Corrosion Control Technician III works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job.
