Job Description

The Demand Planning & Buying Specialist II analyzes historical sales, pricing, demand data, market trends, and other statistical metrics to prepare inventory requirement forecasts. Develops inventory replenishment models and forecasts to make purchasing decisions to ensure optimal inventory and stock levels meet customer demand. Being a Demand Planning & Buying Specialist II continuously monitors sales, inventory, and buying trends and adjusts stock levels to meet demand. Creates a buying plan and recommends order qualities and pricing to guide inventory replenishment and new purchasing. In addition, Demand Planning & Buying Specialist II maintains data and analytics to refine forecasts, generate reporting and improve replenishment processes. Works with vendors and buyers to facilitate ordering, pricing, and inventory deliveries. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Being a Demand Planning & Buying Specialist II work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.
