Job Description

The Deputy Director of Human Resources directs recruitment, staffing, and employee training and development programs that support the achievement of company goals. Develops and designs human resources policies and programs and directs the human resources staff in the management and implementation of programs that support employee productivity and drive company results. Being a Deputy Director of Human Resources may work with management to develop the overall company budget. Maintains employee records of pay, benefits, accidents, performance and other activities according to company policies and regulatory requirements. In addition, Deputy Director of Human Resources requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to head of function. The Deputy Director of Human Resources typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
