Oversees the operations for conducting thorough investigations. Being a Director of Fraud and Abuse Investigations may coordinate with outside sources such as law enforcement agencies, and external audit, etc. Requires a bachelor's degree. Prepares investigative reports and analyses that pertinent to evidence obtained during investigations. In addition, Director of Fraud and Abuse Investigations typically reports to top management. The Director of Fraud and Abuse Investigations manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Working as a Director of Fraud and Abuse Investigations typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.
