Monitors and tests the plans and back up systems. In addition, Disaster Recovery Planning and Implementation Manager develops and deploys training, documentation, and communication of disaster procedures to the organization. Develops service level recovery standards and agreements with vendors. Requires a bachelor's degree of computer science. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Disaster Recovery Planning and Implementation Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes.
