The Enterprise Infrastructure Design Director schedules and develops plans to consider current and future enterprise infrastructure needs, ensuring the scalability of infrastructure design to handle expected growth. Directs and oversees the enterprise infrastructure of an organization. Being an Enterprise Infrastructure Design Director develops the policies and procedures utilized in the design and maintenance of an organization's enterprise infrastructure. Oversees the design and implementation of information systems that support the organization's enterprise infrastructure. In addition, Enterprise Infrastructure Design Director utilizes performance reports to continuously monitor the systems to ensure the highest level of infrastructure performance. May require a master's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Enterprise Infrastructure Design Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Working as an Enterprise Infrastructure Design Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.
