The Hazardous Waste Disposal Manager oversees design and implementation of waste disposal systems. Develops and implements procedures for disposing of hazardous or contaminated materials in accordance with governmental regulations. Being a Hazardous Waste Disposal Manager develops and updates waste management policies and procedures. Trains staff in the safe and proper handling of waste materials. In addition, Hazardous Waste Disposal Manager may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Hazardous Waste Disposal Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Working as a Hazardous Waste Disposal Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.
