Job Description

The IT Systems and Controls Auditing Manager evaluates IT infrastructure in terms of risk to the organization and establishes controls to mitigate loss. Oversees a staff of IT auditors responsible for auditing information systems, platforms, and operating procedures in accordance with established corporate standards for efficiency, accuracy and security. Being an IT Systems and Controls Auditing Manager develops information systems auditing procedures and trains staff on compliance guidelines. Determines and recommends improvements in current risk management controls and implementation of system changes or upgrades. In addition, IT Systems and Controls Auditing Manager monitors procedures and provides top management with reports. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The IT Systems and Controls Auditing Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Working as an IT Systems and Controls Auditing Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.
