The Licensed Physical Therapist (LPT) II establishes treatment plans and treats patients using a variety of methods, including exercises, stretching maneuvers, hands-on therapy, and equipment to ease patients' pain and help them recover. Evaluates and treats patients recovering from injury, disease, surgery, or other ailments. Being a Licensed Physical Therapist (LPT) II documents and reports on patients' progress. Works cooperatively with physicians, case managers, and insurance adjusters. In addition, Licensed Physical Therapist (LPT) II may supervise physical therapy assistants, aides, and athletic trainers. Requires a doctorate degree in physical therapy. Requires state license to practice physical therapy. Typically reports to a manager. Being a Licensed Physical Therapist (LPT) II occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.
