The Medical Accreditation Compliance Manager monitors and administers compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Implements and administers programs, policies, and practices to ensure that organization complies with JCAHO, HIPAA, and accreditation standards. Being a Medical Accreditation Compliance Manager investigates potential compliance violations and takes corrective action as necessary. Acts as a liaison to government agencies and coordinates site visits for regulators. In addition, Medical Accreditation Compliance Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Medical Accreditation Compliance Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Working as a Medical Accreditation Compliance Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.
