Job Description

The Network Implementation Manager identifies network requirements for hardware, software, and services that will provide optimal solutions and meet the capacity requirement for the organization. Manages and implements the plans, designs, and development of all aspects of network systems that will meet an organization's requirements for performance, security, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Being a Network Implementation Manager develops monitoring, maintenance, expansion, contingency, and recovery plans and strategies to ensure the network is responsive to changes in demand. Conducts network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies. In addition, Network Implementation Manager keeps abreast with the latest technologies and best practices and utilizes vendors and providers to provide additional resources to support networks. May be certified or has deep knowledge of vendor-specific products. Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Network Implementation Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Working as a Network Implementation Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.
