The Telecommunication Equipment Installation & Maintenance Manager ensures compliance to customer specifications and company requirements. Manages the installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing of switches, cables, and other telecommunications equipment in the field to ensure optimum network usage and quality. Being a Telecommunication Equipment Installation & Maintenance Manager coordinates the scheduling of installation and maintenance services. Ensures all functions are completed on time and within budget. In addition, Telecommunication Equipment Installation & Maintenance Manager provides and evaluates training for installation and maintenance technicians. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of unit/department. The Telecommunication Equipment Installation & Maintenance Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Working as a Telecommunication Equipment Installation & Maintenance Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.
