The Vice President of Budgeting and Financial Control directs the development and evaluation of policies and processes that will support the short and long-term financial objectives of the organization. Oversees all aspects of an organization's budgeting and financial forecasting function. Being a Vice President of Budgeting and Financial Control establishes performance indicators used to evaluate and analyze actual performance against budgets. Implements operational processes for the annual budget and capital planning. In addition, Vice President of Budgeting and Financial Control leads the development of budget planning and forecasting tools to support management decisions. Presents budget data to senior management and/or board. Typically requires a MBA or equivalent. Typically reports to top management. The Vice President of Budgeting and Financial Control manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business.
