Manages the operations of a wastewater treatment plant to ensure compliance with regulatory procedures and reporting practices. Being a Wastewater Operations Plant Manager typically requires a bachelor's degree or other tech degree. Monitors federal, state, and local regulations and environmental guidelines and creates and updates wastewater treatment procedures to adhere to those regulations. In addition, Wastewater Operations Plant Manager typically reports to a manager or director. The Wastewater Operations Plant Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Working as a Wastewater Operations Plant Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.
