Aerospace Engineer V designs and supervises the construction of aircraft and associated parts such as airframe, auxiliaries, communication equipment, controls, fuselage, and powerplant. Analyzes results of stress tests on various craft and missile parts and conducts research to determine flight characteristics. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Aerospace Engineer V typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Aerospace Engineer V works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. Works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in solution or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization.
