Construction Manager I is responsible for the overall management of construction projects. Oversees multiple projects at one time with the aid of Resident Construction Managers. Being a Construction Manager I ensures construction projects are completed on time and to the client's satisfaction. Assists in staffing, outlining project plans, setting project goals/deadlines, and evaluating performance. Additionally, Construction Manager I requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a top management. The Construction Manager I manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Construction Manager I typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.
