Job Description

Documentation Supervisor supervises, prioritizes and coordinates the daily activities of a documentation staff within the department. Ensures new and existing publications are written in accordance with established documentation procedures and accurately present details of the product or process. Being a Documentation Supervisor reviews and edits written work as needed. Facilitates any requests for additional information needed to complete projects. Additionally, Documentation Supervisor may require an associate degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Documentation Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes.
