Oversees construction progress, ensuring that timing, costs and contract requirements are adhered to. Being a Facilities Planner supervises construction, equipment installation, renovation and redesigning projects. Works with management to review design changes, equipment specifications/substitutions, purchasing and accounting procedures. Additionally, Facilities Planner develops and designs feasibility studies for review. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a Facilities Planner typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.
