Responsible for ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the medical records and transcription departments. May act as liaison between information services and technology department, ensuring that systems are accessible and in accordance with the needs of the organization. Additionally, Health Information Services Director ensures that all record keeping and information disbursement complies with HIPAA regulations. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty.
