Laboratory Assistant II performs research activities and other tasks as necessary in a laboratory environment. Records observations and measurements and reports results. Being a Laboratory Assistant II is responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining cleanrooms and equipment. Assists with receipt and inspection of raw materials, and ordering and stocking of materials and equipment. Additionally, Laboratory Assistant II may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Laboratory Assistant II typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience.
