Job Description

Mechanic Technician II maintains and services mechanical equipment, machinery, and components. Performs skilled repair services of mechanical, electrical, and building systems and equipment. Being a Mechanic Technician II conducts periodic inspections to evaluate requests for repair. Identifies parts needed for replacement and places orders as necessary. Additionally, Mechanic Technician II completes all work in accordance with established safety procedures. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to supervisor or manager. The Mechanic Technician II gains or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline.
