Meeting/Event Director directs the overall planning of meetings and special events for an organization. Designs and implements meeting planning policies and procedures. Being a Meeting/Event Director approves the final selection of venues, menus, and vendors for catering, technology, and other event support services. Reviews and approves contracts and has overall responsibility for ensuring events stay within budget. Additionally, Meeting/Event Director typically requires a bachelor's degree.
