Identifies plumbing and safety problems applicable to the installation and takes necessary corrective action using appropriate parts and tools. Being a Plumber complies with all required safety, building code and inspection requirements. Reads and interprets blueprints, specifications, and other instructions. Additionally, Plumber has completed required apprenticeship. Typically requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager. Typically requires certain certifications in plumbing. Requires a plumbing license from the applicable local authority. The Plumber has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function.
